L.T. Sounderrajan is the Managing Director of Roj Leather Exports, bringing more than four decades of experience and leadership in India’s leather industry. Under his stewardship, Roj has developed into an established manufacturer and exporter of leather products, building long-standing relationships with international customers and expanding its presence across global markets. 

With a career built around manufacturing excellence, product quality and international trade, Sounderrajan has played a defining role in shaping Roj’s growth and establishing its reputation as a reliable leather manufacturing partner. His leadership encompasses the company’s overall strategic direction, customer relationships, manufacturing operations and long-term business development.

His contribution to the Indian leather-export sector has been recognized through two export awards from the Council for Leather Exports, reflecting his sustained commitment to excellence and his contribution to the growth of India’s leather industry. 

Sounderrajan’s leadership is grounded in a strong understanding of the leather industry, combining traditional craftsmanship and manufacturing knowledge with an international outlook. He has guided Roj through the changing demands of global fashion and leather markets while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality, reliability and long-term partnerships.

Today, he continues to guide the next generation of leadership at Roj, supporting the company’s evolution from a traditional leather-garment exporter into a broader leather-goods manufacturing enterprise. His vision remains focused on sustainable growth, international competitiveness, product diversification and building a strong foundation for the company’s future.

​Akshay Rajan Sounderrajan is an Indian entrepreneur and Director of Roj Leather Exports, one of the country's established leather-garment exporters. At a young age, he has emerged as a prominent next-generation leader in India's leather industry, overseeing a 700+ employee organization and driving international business, product development, sourcing, quality, sustainability and manufacturing innovation. In 2025, Asia Business Outlook recognized him among the Top 10 Business Leaders from the Leather Industry in India. His leadership has focused on expanding Roj beyond traditional leather garments into a broader goods-manufacturing enterprise, strengthening global partnerships, adopting smart-manufacturing practices, developing skilled talent and maintaining rigorous international quality and sustainability standards. He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Edinburgh and has undertaken executive learning in strategy, negotiation, leadership and auditing. Beyond business, he is a national-level Silambattam champion, reflecting the discipline and resilience that also characterize his entrepreneurial approach.

Technical Director 

S. Aadhithya Rajan 

S. Aadithya Rajan is the Technical Director of Roj Leather Exports, where he leads the company’s leather goods division and oversees the technical and manufacturing aspects of its product development. With a strong focus on product engineering, craftsmanship and production efficiency, he plays a key role in translating customer concepts into commercially viable leather goods. His responsibilities span product development, technical specifications, sampling, production planning, quality assurance and manufacturing processes, working closely with customers, designers, suppliers and internal production teams. He is particularly involved in the development of leather bags and other leather goods for international markets, ensuring that products meet stringent requirements for construction, finish, durability and consistency.

As part of the company’s next-generation leadership, Aadithya has contributed to the expansion of Roj’s capabilities beyond leather garments into specialised leather goods manufacturing, while strengthening the company’s focus on technical excellence, process improvement and international quality standards. His approach combines hands-on manufacturing knowledge with a strong technical and problem-solving mindset, allowing him to bridge the gap between design intent and production realities. Through his leadership, he continues to develop the leather goods division with an emphasis on innovation, quality, efficiency and long-term customer partnerships.
